'Volvo' man to get NUIG doctorate

NUIG has unveiled its list of graduands who are to be presented with honorary doctorates this June.

Let’s Do It Ireland Chairman John Killeen, who was responsible for bringing the hugely successful Volvo Ocean Race to Galway, is on the list.

Also to be honoured are Seán Ó’hUiginn, the Irish diplomat and former Ambassador to the US and Germany.

Bernard Collins, VHI chairman and Anne Maria Dennison, head of the Irish Countrywoman’s Association will also be honoured at the ceremony which will take place on Friday June 25^th.
