UK Dad concerned about his daughter's Facebook usage

An English father concerned about the amount of time his daughter spends on Facebook has set up a website that offers similar features to Facebook but is geared towards study.

Heather Fitzgerald, a Sociology student at Liverpool University was spending a lot of time on Facebook and her father became concerned that it was affecting her studies.

He decided to set up a website which offers the social networking capabilities of Facebook but also has a reference section and study and learning facilities built into it.

According to the webmaster of the site (www.studentsandacademics.com) Billy Jones: “The site is acquiring more and more users daily.”
